Forest Greens Golf Club, Prince William County, VA
• Client: Prince William County Park Authority
Four subs, 8 client representatives, tight scheduling and precise budgeting. Within these parameters, The Engineering Groupe, Inc. brought one of the region’s most picturesque public golf courses to fruition on time and in budget. We did this by staying focused on the calendar and bottom line despite complexities, such as high frequency client coordination, unusual irrigation and roadway issues, and extensive cost analysis and value engineering. Today, the $6.2 million, 350-acre 18-hole Forest Greens Golf Club is heralded as “a resort experience in an environmentally friendly setting.” It is one of the Top 100 Must-Play courses in the Mid Atlantic, according to Washington Golf.

Public Park Improvements, Prince William County, VA
• Client: Prince William County Park Authority, VA
Outdated and undersized. These were the conditions of some public parks in one of Virginia’s densely populated counties as it went through a major growth spurt. The Engineering Groupe assisted them in updating and improving facilities, including transforming an aging swimming pool into the area’s largest waterpark. The 13-acre Splashdown at Ben Lomond features 5 water areas such as a zero-entry depth pool and water slides. We also designed upgrades and expansions of parking lots and designed new regulation-size soccer fields there and at other parks. Major drainage improvements at some ballfields involved rehabilitation of existing water lines for new irrigation systems.

At one of the most well-renowned golf communities and courses on the East Coast, provided services for Short Game Practice Area, Par 3 Course, Practice Range and several on-site corporate residences

Golf Course and Recreational Facilities, Fawn Lake, Spotsylvania County, VA
• Client: NTS Development Corporation
Arnold Palmer-designed, 18-hole championship golf course in resort community with 350-acre lake, lakefront beach, pool, historic battlefield site, and extensive bike/hike trails meandering throughout 2,800-acre development.

Chinn Regional Park, Prince William County, VA

• Client: Prince Willian County Park Authority

The Engineering Groupe provided planning and engineering services to the Prince William County Park Authority for outdoor recreational facilities to accompany a new indoor recreation center at Chinn Regional Park. Our work included topographic and boundary surveying and civil engineering services for two nature trails; storm water drainage; and design of ballfields for soccer, baseball and football.
