Metro Park, Springfield, VA
• Client: Fried Companies
Diamond in the rough. As the only premier
office park among vintage industrial and residential developments,
Metro Park was a welcome newcomer. This planned 1.1 million
sq. ft., 5-building center is already 50% complete and that
space is fully occupied. Metro Park is adjacent to the Franconia/Springfield
Metro station and other vital transportation links, including
Interstate 95 and the Franconia/Springfield Parkway. Transforming
the 30-acre abandoned site into a destination location required
extensive utility relocation, traffic control measures, civic
meetings, roadway and streetscape improvements, as well as
access designs for the surrounding roadways.
