INNOVATIVE SURVEY FIRM
MOVES TO ALEXANDRIA
COLORFUL HOUSE LOCATION SURVEYS MAKE
ABSOLUTE SURVEYS STANDOUT
ALEXANDRIA, VA—November 10, 2003—With interest
rates still low, new and refinanced home mortgages are keeping
realtors, bankers, brokers, title attorneys, and settlement
companies exceptionally busy.
To keep their customers satisfied, firms in this industry
must turnaround accurate information quickly. One local company
is helping to make that happen.
Absolute Surveys—a company that provides house location
surveys—has moved its headquarters from Fairfax to 121
South Alfred Street in Alexandria. Formed 10 years ago, Absolute
Surveys was recently acquired by The Engineering Groupe, a
full-service engineering and surveying firm with offices in
Alexandria, Woodbridge, Leesburg and Fredericksburg. Sally
Vaquero, a long time resident of the area, manages Absolute
Surveys and Ned A. Marshall, L.S., serves as responsible party.
“We can be a huge asset to firms that need speed and
quality because we offer faster delivery time, full-color
house location surveys, and full-service in Northern Virginia,”
Vaquero said.
Faster and more colorful
Absolute Surveys delivers its house location surveys in five
days or fewer—fast by industry standards, according
to Vaquero. “We totally modernized when we opened the
Alexandria office. We purchased new vehicles, new computers
and new surveying equipment. On top of that, our staff and
crews are experienced, motivated professionals whose first
priority is customer service,” she said.
In addition, the firm produces all of its surveys in color.
“This is something that few survey firms offer, but
something all the customers appreciate,” said Vaquero.
“The color surveys make it much easier to differentiate
between the house perimeter, decks, patios, driveways and
property boundaries.” She said customers also find the
surveys attractive and are pleased to be able to turn them
over to their customers at closings.
Absolute Surveys works as far west as Leesburg and as far
south as Fredericksburg. “Few other surveying firms
have the manpower or resources to provide such a broad geographic
area of service,” said Vaquero.
Before moving to Alexandria, Absolute Surveys was in Fairfax
and had an established client base in that area. With the
added resources of The Engineering Groupe, Absolute Surveys
can now work in a much larger area. “This is a real
asset for title attorneys and settlement companies who have
customers outside the greater Alexandria or Fairfax areas,”
Vaquero said.
Vaquero thinks the company’s strongest attribute is
its tireless attention to customer service. “We hand-deliver
every survey in order to meet or exceed our clients’
expectations,” she said. “I want every client
to think we are the best house location survey firm they have
ever worked with. All of our employees share that same commitment
to customer service.”
Prior to joining Absolute Surveys in 2002, Sally Vaquero
worked in real estate and title insurance. From 1986 to 1998,
she worked for several distinguished national real estate
and title companies, including Chicago Title Insurance Company.
There, she reviewed titles, handled financial transactions
and coordinated closings throughout the United States.
Vaquero has added as clients several title attorneys and
settlement companies in the Alexandria area. “All I
ask of a prospect is to give us one survey to perform,”
she said. “Once they see the quality and quick turnaround,
they will likely become clients.”
