THE ENGINEERING GROUPE, INC., CONTRIBUTES TO 9/11 MEMORIAL

WOODBRIDGE, VA—JULY 27, 2006

The Engineering Groupe, Inc., (EGG) recently completed work on the 9/11 Liberty Memorial located next to the Freedom Memorial at Prince William County’s Freedom Plaza.  The memorial sits on the grounds of the McCoart Administration Building and is dedicated to those that lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.  The memorial includes a reflecting pool with a West Wall bearing the names of the 22 Prince William County residents that were victims of the Pentagon tragedy.

The Engineering Groupe, working with The IDI Group, provided gratis engineering services to assist in the development of the memorial. EGG’s president, Skip Groupe, stated that contributing to the memorial in some small way gave us a sense of giving back to a community that had suffered a great loss. “I think we all felt helpless when this tragedy occurred” said Groupe, continuing that “however, commemorating those directly affected gives the community an opportunity to pay their respects and grieve together.”
